Meet your Building Designer

Costa Kalergis, our primary Building designer, has over 10 years of industry experience. Specialized in residential & commercial Building design. Based in the Sydney area he has dealt with many different local councils, principal certifying authorities & consultants. Specialising in house design & experience in the survey & hydraulic design sector of the construction industry, Costa has very thorough and in-depth knowledge of how the building industry works from the bottom up.

Our Story

Form to Function – is a derivative of the architectural design principle Form Follows Function. This principle refers to the form or shape of a building that should relate to its intended use.

And so a primary value of our company is that it follows this principle and designs buildings that suit their intended use.

 

Our Design Process

Our designers will walk you through our house design process one step at a time. 

Concept Phase

In this phase, inspiration is taken in and a concept is formed. This concept represents the client’s Dream & Designers vision for the project. Basic Council controls are considered in this phase.

Development Application Phase

After a concept is selected we prepare the plans for Council or /Private Certifying Authority (PCA) lodgement. In this phase of design, we pay close attention to the required controls set in place & engage consultants to meet the requirements of the planning authority.

Construction Certificate Phase

If a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is undertaken then this phase is combined with the Development Application phase. We finalise the design by adding construction detail and additional information to the plans to assist the building process. Additional consultants are engaged in this phase.
